i know, i know...stupid. it was just this first thing that popped into my head.
while on the phone with my sister this evening, i realize how difficult it is to find a picture of a colon. i just wanted to know what one looked like, since i'm going to have mine taken out after all.
at any rate, i meet with my surgeon tomorrow. i'll let you know how it goes!
Just curious, have you tried homeopathic alternatives? I was diagnosed with UC this past July (age 38, female with husband and one 6 yr old boy) and I've been through alot of meds (Asacol passe through me like water, whole and never dissolved). Been through 3 doctors so far so I decided to take this into my own hands since the end of August when I found AloeElite. I started taking it and have had one flare up (minor) since. Yes, I had chronic diarrhea (some nights sleeping in the bathroom going 13 times plus), mucus, bleeding pain, mood swings from pregnasone, fatigue, lost 42 lbs in 4 months) You get it, my life turned upside down. Honestly, i can't eat everything I want to and may be able to for quite some time but I think surgery is really drastic, at least for me. Just wanted to give you another alternative.
